Be Fit for a Great Cause
The 10th annual Pedal the Puzzle is a unique charity bicycle ride where proceeds benefit Moving Kids On The Spectrum. MKOS assists families self-directing care for advanced diagnostics and treatments for autism spectrum disorders. The purpose of this event is to raise funds and awareness to benefit healthier children. The shorter cycling option around St. Albans is available before the "KidsFest". The longer route will take cyclists through a picturesque route, departing and ending at historic Lake St. Albans. The route starts in the heart of the Missouri Watershed and goes south through Rockwoods Reservation and Greensfelder Park into Eureka and the Legends, then along the Meramac River. Bike
- A Summer ride highlighting beautiful Meramec and Missouri Watershed, limited to the first 300 riders.
- 10 Mile Flat Route (Begins @ 10:30am) -- Tour the beautiful golf course and homes throughout the St. Albans Community.
- 30 Mile Shorter Route (Begins @ 9:00 am) -- Big hills along Bassett and Bouquet Roads then riding the ridge over to Melrose before dropping down into Rockwoods Reservation. Return via the same route before taking Little Tavern Road to the Post-Event Celebration Party.
- Long Route of 60 miles (Begins @ 7:30 am) -- Add Lewis and Clark type distance by visiting Eureka, The Legends and Allenton before returning to St. Albans via Little Tavern Road. This ride includes the 7-mile Hornecker-Sheerin loop at the southern end of this route.
- Kits Crits- 7-9 year olds compete at noon followed by 10-12 year olds in 20 and 25 minute courses around the lake.
Celebrate
- Non-cyclists and cyclists are welcome at this scenic and festive event for all ages and abilities
- The event finishes at beautiful Lake St. Albans
- Live Music by Mark Ginsberg in The Country Club of St. Albans; and food available by Pappy's, Head's Store and Smoothie King
- Lunch included for Riders
- Recovery Tent in the Pine Grove overlooking Lake St. Albans.
- Spectators and Family are encouraged to attend.
- Children can attend the "KidsFest" from 11:30 am-2:30 pm.
